With the start of football season, is the reminder that watching can be a massive pain.
With each week, I check the schedule. Is this game on a steaming service I have? No, who has the local market? A cable network, I don’t have cable, damn. But next week is on a broadcast channel, that’s just out of range of my antenna. Week six? Well I’ll be at that one, no big deal. Week eight’s on CBS, I can pick that up.
I wish watching football could be like watching hockey. All I have to do is subscribe to NHL.TV… That was until the previous season. Where hockey went the way of football.
The wonderful hack of a TV antenna only works if you live in local market. Or close enough that a beefy RF amp can make up the difference.
If I move out of local market for the Ravens, I might try to set up something at a friend’s house. An antenna with a tuner I can put on the network, then just Tailscale in and watch football.
Thankfully Yesterday’s game was on NBC, so I was able to watch it with the antenna. As for the game itself… what the hell.
