I Bought a Camera

Photography

I’ve been wanting to pick up a proper camera for a long time. Sure, my iPhone 15 Pro takes good pics. But, telephoto on it… well it’s a phone.

To cut a long story of searching short. I ended up grabbing a Canon EOS Rebel T7. It had good reviews, a mirror (for that amazing sound), you know, camera stuff. The main reason I picked it up, is because it came with a nice zoom lens in the box.

Before I played around with the telephoto lens, I went outside with the dog to get a feel of the regular one. I quickly learned that I love the real depth of field compared to my phone. And that Ruby don’t like to sit still.

The included telephoto lens is what got me to spring for the kit, and man am I liking it.

The main thing I want to do is get pics of planes flying over. Unfortunately the skies were pretty calm today. So here’s a photo of a leaf.

Luckily, I have a flight coming up in two weeks. So I’ll get plenty of opportunities to get some plane pics.
