I’ve been posting pictures of an owl for a bit now. But what I haven’t said, these are in my back yard.

If you’ve seen Over the Hedge, that’s basically where I live. Not a nature reserve, or a secluded forest. A place with a shit ton of houses. So a couple of owls moving in was a bit surprising. I’ll take it though.

A few people at work think I take these on my phone. And while the 16 Pro has a handy zoom lens, it’s kinda weak. That lens has an equivalent focal length of 120mm. I’m shooting these on a 600mm lens.

The real shocker, was when I saw two. I was taking pics of the usual suspect in the tree, and while I was putting my camera away, a second one landed. The moment I saw that, I rushed to get the camera back on, and pointed at them. Then I let the shutter rip.

I like this hobby. Now excuse me, while I sneak up on a robin.
