I’ve had a UniFi doorbell camera for a while, and I like it. Yeah it’s a little expensive, and you need a UniFi console to use it. But, that means the footage is stored on your network. Not the cloud.

However, a little while back, Ubiquiti pushed a dangerous update. That update, lets you upload custom sounds to the doorbell.

If you’ve never used a doorbell camera, it make a sound when you hit the button, so you know that it worked (this is separate from the chime box). Usually it’s just a ding, but now it doesn’t have to be.

All you have to do is login to the web interface, and under the device setting you can upload an mp3.

This being me, I picked a screaming goat. Because why not.
