I like keyboards. I like nice keyboards. And I like mechanical keyboards. And while I’ve had a a number of mechs, this is my first dip into ergonomic keyboards.
Nomicly Ergo
Now, why did I pick up an ergonomic keyboard? Simple, I wanted one. Now I didn’t go crazy. Nothing fully split, or ortholinear.
This is a KeyChron Q8 Alice Layout. It’s nice.
At over four pounds, I could kill someone with this thing. All metal, and clicky. And it has RGB, if you want that. I turned it off. Honestly, this looks like it should be hooked up to an IBM Z mainframe. If only it had a built in track ball.
So, how’s the typing. Slow. I never learned to fully touch type, and I am super used to my old 60% board. So this is going to take a bit to get used to. Though, I have felt myself getting better as I’m writing this post. It’s still going to take a while for me to get used to it. But, I like it.
It also has two B keys. I’ll leave the jokes up to you there.
