A few days ago, SIGMA announced a new camera (along with some new lenses), and people are having a meltdown.

A lot of comments on videos of the new camera, are people bitching. It doesn’t have x feature, it makes y manufacture look sane, who would ever buy this. On and on and on.

If you’ve ever looked at SIGMA lenses (as in going to buy one look), you get the feeling that they just make whatever they want. That feeling becomes more apparent, with their cameras.

SIGMA cameras, are weird. From the SD Quatro, to the new BF, they are weird. SIGMA, makes what they want. And that seams to bug people online. Who weren’t going to buy it anyway.

The comments online exude a “this wasn’t made for me, thus it is bad” mentality. Products aren’t made for “you”, most are made for a segment of people. A few, are made for nobody.

Those few, were made because someone, wanted to make it. The product, wasn’t made for you. It was made for the person, who made it. And you can buy one if you want. We could use more products like that.
