So this morning I logged to MyMVA (the online portal for the MVA (our DMV)) and noticed, my car has registration again. YAY!!! And it’s my custom plate number!! I went ahead and put in an order for replacement plates, to help make sure I actually get my custom number. But I noticed something else on MyMVA.

Looking though my messages, I had one that said I owed them money.

Our records show a refund check in the amount of $160.50 was issued to you in error on May 21, 2025 for Tag Return. As a result, $160.50 is due by June 20, 2025 in order to avoid future suspension of your 2015 HOND.

At least they admit they screwed up. So, I just have to wait for the check to show up, drive to the MVA, and give it back to them. Thanks, Maryland /s.
