Every year my family takes a vacation to Deep Creek Lake MD. We camp, rent a boat, and go tubing on the lake. Last year I decided to bring my drone.
After getting my part 107 night flight rating, I wanted to get some video of the firework on the 4th of July. The fireworks get launched off the side of a mountain, and watching them is something we do every year. We also rent a boat every year, and bring a towable. After doing some pre flight research, I found that I could fly over the lake, so long as I was not operating within the state park.
Flying a drone over water like this isn’t the easiest thing. It took an entire team to get these shots, and everyone had an important role. From the boat driver, to the tuber lookout
